Cornerstone – Rehabilitation Counselor of YPRP

*this position will require tri-county travel (Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's counties)*
Responsibilities of the Rehabilitation Counselor of YPRP
- Provides psychiatric rehabilitation services in clients' homes, schools, community settings, and agency-sponsored therapeutic groups and day programming.
- Collaborates with parents, caregivers, and natural supports to reinforce treatment goals and improve family functioning.
- Attends IEP, 504, school, and treatment team meetings to advocate for the youth's educational, behavioral, and mental health needs.
- Assists youth and families in identifying and accessing community resources, benefits, educational supports, vocational opportunities, and recreational services.
Qualifications of the Rehabilitation Counselor of YPRP
- High School Diploma/GED required, BA in Psychology, Social Work, or Sociology preferred (unless required by State Contract)
- Driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Knowledge of basic computer functions (Google Suite, Microsoft Office) and ability to learn software systems and/or websites (Paycom, EHR, Relias, etc)
