CornerStone Professional Placement is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant for a temporary opportunity with an established organization in Arlington, TX. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong reconciliation and sales tax experience who can quickly contribute to a collaborative accounting team.
Prepare and file sales tax returns, including related general ledger research.
Perform monthly bank reconciliations for approximately 40 accounts.
Complete additional monthly account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Research and resolve accounting variances to ensure accurate financial records.
Provide occasional backup support for payroll processing.
Collaborate with accounting team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of accounting activities.
2 years of experience in staff accounting, general ledger accounting, or a related accounting role.
Hands-on experience performing bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Experience preparing and filing sales tax returns.
Strong understanding of general accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
Ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.
Experience with Workday payroll is a plus but not required.
Full-time, temporary opportunity.
