Fixed Assets Accountant

Location: Grapevine, TX (Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex)

CornerStone Professional Placement has partnered with a global industry leader in their search for a Fixed Assets Accountant to support their corporate finance operations. This full-time, individual contributor role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, focusing on the management of tangible and intangible assets, capital leases, and cost center analysis. The ideal candidate will have a detail-driven mindset and a strong foundation in GAAP and ERP systems.

Responsibilities:

Fixed Assets & Capital Lease Accounting

• Manage fixed and intangible asset lifecycle: additions, disposals, impairments, and depreciation using Sage and/or M3

• Coordinate with Tax Manager to input and track tax-related asset data

• Prepare monthly fixed asset reconciliations, capital expenditure reports, and forecasting support

• Administer capital lease accounting through ViaReport

• Ensure full compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Analyze monthly P&L variances for assigned cost centers (including R&D/I&BD)

• Post accurate journal entries and accruals; maintain clean and balanced sub-ledgers

• Partner with internal departments to ensure accuracy and clarity of financial data

• Recommend process improvements to optimize reporting efficiency

Audit & Compliance Support

• Prepare and maintain reconciliations and supporting documentation for internal and external audits

• Respond to auditor inquiries related to fixed assets, intangible assets, and balance sheet accounts

• Assist in audit and tax compliance reviews (e.g., franchise tax, sales/use tax)

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a financial business partner to operational teams

• Train non-finance stakeholders on financial processes and internal controls

• Support cross-functional initiatives and ensure financial integrity across departments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting

• 5 years of professional accounting experience

• 2 years of Fixed Assets experience

• Experience with Sage, M3, or other fixed asset ERP modules

• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, capital expenditures, and lease accounting

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and Google Suite

Compensation and Benefits:

• Employment Type: Direct Hire

• Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid schedule working from home Monday and Friday

• Location: Grapevine, TX

• Salary: 90-95K
