Base Salary: $130,000-$150,000 BOE

We're partnering with a growing organization seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accounting operations across a multi-entity, real estate portfolio (multifamily focus).
This is a high-impact role for someone who enjoys being in the details, leading a team, and bringing structure to a fast-paced environment. The team is looking for someone who can step in quickly and make an immediate impact.
* Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
* Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP
* Support property-level accounting, including revenue recognition and tenant activity
* Manage and mentor accounting staff (approx. 5-6 direct reports)
* Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting processes
* Identify and implement process improvements to drive efficiency
* Partner with leadership to support reporting and operational improvements
* 8 years of progressive accounting experience
* Current experience in multifamily / property accounting
* Hands-on experience with month-end close and day-to-day accounting operations
* Experience managing or leading a team
* Experience with property management/accounting systems (Entrata strongly preferred)
* Strong understanding of GAAP
* Ability to step into a new environment with minimal ramp time
* CPA or CPA track
* Experience in multi-entity or portfolio-based environments
* Exposure to process improvements or system implementations
* Experience working in fast-paced or evolving environments
