Experienced Machinist for programming, set up and short run production with live tooling (G Code, Conversational, Master Cam). Opportunity to demonstrate your skills and motivation in a small rapidly growing company.
Responsibilities: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
o Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner
o Reads and interprets blueprints
o Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials in CNC machinery
o Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements
o Ability to setup, program, operate and troubleshoot CNC lathes and mills without assistance. Must be self-sufficient.
o Ability to reduce setup time and machining through process improvements
o Must be proficient with FANUC controls
o Understands, interprets and edits FANUC G-code programming
o Recognizes, deploys and properly uses inserts, fixtures and tooling
o Understands and has the ability to perform tool wear offsets
o Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery
o Assists in the organization and maintenance of the machine shop work environment
o Provides constant feedback and input into process improvement within the department
o Utilizes and abides by ISO requirements and safety procedures
o Complies with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
o Communicates thoughts and ideas, both verbally and in writing, to co-workers and management
o Attends scheduled meetings and actively participates by providing meaningful input
o Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant
