Senior Insurance Agent
Role Summary
The primary purpose of this role is to solve hard insurance problems in ways that delight our clients and generate ever-increasing value to them. Our Senior Insurance Agent will work closely with clients, brokers, and carriers to develop custom insurance solutions that enable our clients to have the coverage they need to protect their business in several highly litigious industries. This leader will need to learn quickly and move fast as we have hundreds of clients across all 50 states with a broad variety of insurance needs.
This role has significant sales responsibilities, but the goal is to build lasting value for clients and Cornerstone. We help clients secure dependable insurance coverage at the best price and make shopping for insurance quotes as quick and painless as possible. We offer tailored E&O, attorney malpractice, general liability, and cyber liability coverage to the several industries including financial service and ARM firms. Whether they need better TCPA coverage, ransomware protection, or just need some help with a client contract requirement, we operate as an independent agent on behalf of our clients to shop for the best value quotes.
Your responsibilities include solving complicated insurance problems, helping clients navigate risk, and simplifying complex issues so they can make informed decisions. The work requires adhering to strict deadlines for policy renewals in a high-risk business class and provide a dependable response to time-sensitive claim and policy questions.
This role will immediately jump in to support our large and growing book of the business, and this new role will be responsible for continuing to steward our clients moving forward. The team includes a support team members, and reports to the CRO who reports directly to the CEO.

Our Senior Insurance Agent will lead our insurance growth efforts as we continue to enhance our services and grow into new verticals. Due to the breadth of our offerings and industries, we need an outstanding, ambidextrous insurance leader to drive value for our clients and innovate w/ new offerings that will continue our position as the best in the industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Produce all commercial lines including errors & omissions, cyber liability, and management liability as well as workers’ comp and general liability/property.
• Grow relationships with decision makers at client companies, helping them secure the best coverage to protect their business at the best available value
• Maintain connections with underwriters and wholesale brokers, developing programs to better serve clients
• Act as a liaison between wholesale brokers and clients, communicating critical details on compliance and risk management to ensure accurate underwriting
• Support staff members through complex renewal marketing, policy changes and claims handling processes
• Analyze and compare insurance policies to help clients understand key differences and make informed decisions
• Collaborate with other company departments including marketing, licensing, bonds, accounting, premium finance and technology to improve customer experience and help coworkers succeed
• Provide a trusted resource for the industry, speaking at conferences and on webinars to share best practices for risk management and provide updates on the insurance marketplace
• Responsibilities include business development, sales, customer service, claims and policy renewals
• Monitor case law and regulatory threats impacting insurance for our industries; maintain relationships with expert defense attorneys nationwide to stay informed on changing exposures to clients
• Demonstrate a deep knowledge of our insurance products and our industry
• Identify opportunities to create best-in-class capabilities by leveraging customer & user feedback and team knowledge/expertise to connect company strengths with available resources
Qualifications
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities
• Flexible and adaptable with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced office environment
• Ability to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing practices

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree
• 5 years of work experience in insurance roles
• Work in insurance providing support for financials services strongly preferred
• Property and Casualty Insurance License holder required
• E&O insurance experience preferred
• Proven ability to engage with clients and grow a healthy book of business
• Proficient MS Office Skills (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)
Other Role Considerations
• Location – Company is Headquartered in Alpharetta, GA (20 mins N of Atlanta), and preference is for the individual to be in the Greater Atlanta area, however we will consider a remote employee if highly qualified
• Compensation – Commensurate w/ experience
