ALS Home Health Nurse (RN) (LPN)
Cornerstone Home Health has IMMEDIATE OPENINGS for nurses with ALS experience to provide skilled nursing care and support patients in their homes, focusing on managing the disease's progression and enhancing quality of life. This role involves a wide range of tasks, from administering medications and managing medical equipment to educating patients and families about ALS and its implications.
SHIFT INFORMATION- 12 hour overnight shift, Thursday and Friday
PAY RANGE: $40-$60 DOE
LOCATION: Oklahoma City and surrounding areas, Bethany, Yukon, and Mustang
REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Current RN or LPN License
· Clinical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of ALS, its progression, and related medical procedures and equipment.
· Communication Skills:
Effective communication with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
· Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to assess situations, identify potential problems, and develop solutions.
· Extensive experience with total mobility assistance
· Hoyer Lift
· Transfers
· Experience with trach tubes
· Symptom management and medication administration
· Experience operating respiratory equipment
· Ventilators
· Breathing machines
· Experience with nutritional support
· Experience with mobility and range of motion
· Willingness and competency to assist with ADL’s
· Skin integrity and prevention of pressure sores
· High level of compassion and ability to provide emotional and psychological support
