JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION: Front Office Team Member
DEPARTMENT: Front Office
REPORTS TO: Office Manager / Front Desk Supervisor
Job Summary:
The Front Office Team member position includes: Phone Center, Check-in, Check-out and
Medical records responsibilities. Review of patient data to verify required information and
signatures have been obtained. Enter/update patient information into EMR.
Advise patient of financial responsibility for Provider service. Collect necessary co-pays.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two years minimum experience in medical practice preferred.

Proficiency in Medent Applications
Strong data entry skills
EMR experience
Proficiency with ICD10 and CPT codes
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for patient check-in/check-out, presenting a welcoming, professional and courteous demeanor to everyone.
· Posting charges and payments to patient accounts.
· Take phone payments from patients for balances due on their account.
· Answer inbound telephone calls, document and route to appropriate Dept. or Physician.
· Verify in Medent that all patient information has been received, completed, and signatures obtained.
· Obtain referrals from referring doctors
· Scan patient’s insurance card.
· Take patient photo.
· Enter all new patient demographic information into the computer.
· Adhere to all HIPPA regulations / Patient Privacy Information
· Mark arrival time of patients in chart central and print superbill.
· Enter any no show appointments in Medent.
· Collect co-payments as required.
· Schedule follow-up appointments
· Make outside referrals as needed
· Balance receipts at end of day.
Administrative
· Maintain proper opening and closing procedures
· Inspect reception room for neatness.
· Perform other duties, as required.
· Assist other front office personnel, as needed.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
