Civil and Structural Inspector - On-Call Services
We are seeking a diligent Civil and Structural Inspector to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects comply with building codes, regulations, and quality standards. The Civil and Structural Inspector will conduct inspections, review plans, and provide recommendations to ensure the structural integrity and safety of buildings and infrastructure projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- inimum 6 years relevant experience, preferably in rail/transit.
- Professional certification as a Civil Inspector or Structural Inspector is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, regulations, and construction practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and report writing skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and standards.
- Review engineering calculations, design drawings, and technical specifications.
- Identify and report any deviations from project plans and recommend corrective actions.
- Document inspection results and prepare detailed reports.
- Communicate with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to address inspection findings.
- Stay up-to-date on industry standards and best practices related to civil and structural inspections.
Multiple locations in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
Main office located at WMATA New Carrollton Rail Yard, 4100 Garden City Drive, Washington DC.
Salary Range: $32.40- $52.38 YR
