Position Summary
The HVAC Service Technician / Installer is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and installing residential and light commercial heating and cooling systems. The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, and experienced in both service and installation work. This position offers opportunities for growth and advancement within a company that values teamwork and quality craftsmanship.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling equipment.
- Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, boilers, and related equipment.
- Inspect HVAC systems and identify potential issues before they become major problems.
- Communicate repair options and recommendations clearly with customers.
- Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
- Complete service tickets, work orders, and documentation accurately.
- Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 2 years of HVAC service or installation experience.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in various environments, including attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred
- EPA Section 608 Certification.
- NATE Certification.
- Experience with residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Experience with boilers and hydronic heating systems.
- Trade school or technical training.
Compensation based on experience.
