What are the responsibilities and job description for the Purchasing Assistant position at Corle Building Systems?
Corle Building Systems is an IAS accredited (USA) and CSA-A660 (Canada) certified manufacturer of pre-engineered steel building systems. We design and manufacture rigid frame clear span and multiple span buildings of all sizes.
Due to continued growth, we have an immediate need for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will help maintain our supply inventory levels and negotiate deals with potential vendors. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for learning company purchasing policies and procedures and maintaining supply inventory levels required for effective company operation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain strong working relationships with our vendors
- Obtaining quotes on buyout items for building and component sales
- Purchasing as well as issuing PO's on all buyout items for each job and all component orders (insulation take-offs, doors and windows, roof curbs, ridge vents, crane rails, skylights, insulated panels, etc.)
- Purchasing as well as issuing PO's on all items in the Hardware Department (screws, clips, bolts, etc.)
- Inventory Cycle counts
- This position is required to work out of our Imler, Pennsylvania location. There is no option for this position to be remote or offsite.
- Eligible candidate will be required to work Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Hours may fluctuate based on company need.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is preferred
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP is preferred
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
- Excellent negotiation skills
