Position Overview
This hands‑on role involves assembling, wiring, and testing industrial control panels according to engineering drawings and UL508A standards. You’ll work closely with engineering and field service teams to produce reliable, high‑quality panels used in automation and process control systems.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels per schematics, layouts, and bills of material (BOMs).
- Install PLCs, relays, power supplies, terminal blocks, VFDs, and instrumentation components.
- Route and terminate wiring neatly and according to company standards.
- Perform point‑to‑point and continuity testing; assist with quality inspections.
- Mark up (“redline”) schematics and communicate design issues to engineers.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure each panel meets build quality standards.
- Follow company safety and housekeeping procedures in the shop.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in control panel fabrication, wiring, or industrial electrical work.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity with UL508A, NFPA 70/79, and standard industrial wiring practices.
- Basic knowledge of sensors and process instruments (pressure, flow, temperature, gas detection).
- High school diploma or technical certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.
