CoreWise Workforce Strategy Partners is recruiting a psychiatrist for a growing Louisiana-based mental health provider opening a new location in Lafayette.

You'll work with patients being considered for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), using your clinical judgment to understand where they've been, determine whether treatment may be appropriate and oversee their care if they move forward.

You won't be there to promise an outcome. You'll be there to listen, evaluate the options and help make a thoughtful clinical decision about what comes next.

A focused way to use your expertise

This is not a traditional medication-management role.

Your time will be centered on the parts of TMS care that require a psychiatrist's training and judgment, while trained clinical staff support the day-to-day treatment process.

Initially, the role will require approximately two to three on-site hours per day in Lafayette, making it a focused opportunity that may fit alongside an existing practice or other professional commitments.

What you'll own

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and determine patient candidacy for TMS
• Review psychiatric history, previous treatment and relevant medical information
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Perform TMS mapping and establish treatment parameters
• Provide physician oversight throughout treatment
• Monitor patient response and make clinical adjustments when appropriate
• Maintain clinical documentation
• Collaborate with the clinical and operations teams supporting patient care
• Help patients understand the treatment process, potential benefits and limitations

Who we're looking for

We're looking for a psychiatrist who is clinically confident without losing sight of the person behind the diagnosis.

The right physician can explain an option without overselling it, recognize when treatment is appropriate and when it isn't, and give patients realistic expectations while treating their questions and concerns with care.

Required:

• MD or DO
• Active, unrestricted Louisiana medical license
• Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry
• Strong psychiatric evaluation and clinical decision-making skills
• Consistent on-site availability in Lafayette
• Clear, compassionate communication
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with clinical and operational staff

Experience with treatment-resistant depression, TMS, neuromodulation or other interventional approaches to psychiatry would translate well to this work.
