GIS Quality Assurance Specialist (Hybrid)
Location: Brooklyn, NY 11217
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $42–$47 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Quality Assurance Specialist to support the Electric eGIS team as they transition from legacy mapping systems to ArcFM, Schneider Electric’s mapping platform. This role plays a critical part in validating migrated GIS data, performing QA/QC checks, and supporting system testing for new mapping products.

Key Responsibilities
- Execute spatial and attribute queries to validate the accuracy of migrated legacy mapping data
- Review land base symmetry, structural connectivity, and cable connectivity
- Inspect attribute data for all linear and point features for Electric and Gas components
- Perform map symbology updates and propose symbology solutions as needed
- Conduct system testing on new mapping applications
- Maintain organized database files, Excel spreadsheets, and supporting documentation
- Prioritize data tasks and manage timelines for completion
- Assist with additional eGIS projects as required
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 2 years of experience with ESRI ArcMap
- Strong knowledge of ESRI GIS, MXD building, spatial queries, and spatial analysis
- Experience in a utility environment strongly preferred
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High level of accuracy, attentiveness, and initiative
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ArcFM (Schneider Electric mapping platform)
- Background in electric or gas utility mapping
- Ability to interpret and understand electrical and gas maps
- Prior involvement in GIS data migration or QA/QC initiatives
