Foreperson

Pay: $47.14 - $49.34 per hour

Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities:

Perform essential vegetation management tasks, including:

• Demonstrate and perform safe climbing techniques and procedures, pruning skills, application of approved knots and rigging techniques.
• Safely operate chainsaws, chippers, and other equipment for tree clearing, bucking, and limbing.
• Setting up job sites, managing debris clean-up, and ensuring traffic control.
• Conducting routine inspections and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.

Lead and develop your crew:

• Lead team through essential daily functions to perform projects safely and efficiently.
• Manage job sites and provide training to crew members to ensure safety and efficient work.
• Take responsibility for crew safety, equipment management, and maintaining high standards.

Complete necessary paperwork, communicate effectively with customers, and maintain safety and quality alignment with Core Tree Care’s standards.

Requirements:

• Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to training and developing crew members.
• Proficiency in safe rigging practices, equipment inspections, and climbing or bucket operations (based on crew needs).
• Ability to perform physical labor for a full workday in various outdoor conditions
• Excellent communication skills for customer interactions and team coordination.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL a plus).

Essential certifications and experience:

• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Must be a Line Clearance Qualified Arborist.
• Minimum of 18 months of line clearance.
• Ability to perform all climbing duties without direct supervision.
• Must pass a documented skills assessment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CDL Class A license preferred, not required.
• ISA Certified Tree Work preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Pre-Screening Requirements:

• Candidates may be required to pass a pre‑employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR review.
