What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server Analyst position at Core Technology Solutions?
Seeking a Server Analyst a hybrid role based in Columba. This position will have a 3 days on site, 2 days remote split. The position will be a long term contract (minimum of 12 months). US authorized workers only, please no C2C or sponsored candidates.
Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job related degree.
Required Work Experience:
- 7 years-of experience working in infrastructure/server environments performing analysis (hardware and/or software), planning, and implementation.
Required Technologies:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Infrastructure management Experience.
- Ansible Experience.
- Scripting languages (i.e Bash, Perl, Yaml).
Preferred Technologies:
- AIX experience
- Solaris Experience
- IT Vulnerability Management
- Security and Compliance
Position Responsibilities:
- Performing various monitoring activities and health checks.
- Checking job status, reviewing operational dashboards, and checking/reviewing email notifications.
- Incident response and problem management.
- Incident ticket assignments, troubleshooting monitoring alerts and providing technical assistance to our customers.
About The Team:
- The Unix Operations team consists of a group of approx. 11 technicians. The group handles operational availability and various system changes. This team also performs various maintenance activities which would include maintenance, security vulnerability management, and project support. The team is very collaborative and highly motivated.
