We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Permitting & Regulatory Compliance Specialist I to join our growing team in Kent, WA. We are also open to folks working out of our Long Beach, CA office.
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support, follow up on the progress of action items as assigned and manage time and billing responsibly.
- Maintain thorough and accurate record of all deadlines, incoming/outgoing correspondence, research, and submittal coordination per project.
- Stay up to date on team protocols that streamline the permitting process; train onboarding coworkers and ask for training as needed.
- Work with retail fuel managers and coordinate inspection schedules and responses to violations and or emergency repairs and confirm compliance with the regulations.
- Compile and submit permit/compliance applications, documents, licenses, reports, etc., as assigned by the Manager or designee. Submittal materials may include, but are not limited to preparing a cover letter, filling out application forms, coordinating client signatures, obtaining checks for filing fees, and compiling construction plans, special reports, and specifications.
- Coordinate with the project team to respond to agency comments. Establish due dates for the receipt of documentation. Complete the submittal on the scheduled date.
- Prepare Construction Permit Report for each project per the standard format. Update company database to track tasks that are required during and after construction.

- Combination of at least 2 years of relevant experience in a construction permitting and regulatory compliance field, supplemented by business/office courses, Class A/B Operator Certification, associates/bachelor’s degree
- Strong attention to detail
- Interpersonal excellence, and a sense of curiosity, entrepreneurship, proactivity, and a commitment to quality
