- Key Responsibilities:**
- **Resident Relations:**
- Serve as a primary point of contact for residents; address inquiries, concerns, and requests promptly and professionally.
- Facilitate resident events and community-building activities to enhance resident engagement and retention.
- **Leasing Activities:**
- Assist in managing the leasing process, including conducting property tours, following up with prospective residents, and processing applications.
- Maintain accurate leasing records and assist in developing marketing strategies to attract new residents.
- **Property Operations:**
- Support the Property Manager in overseeing daily operations including rent collection, maintenance requests, property inspections, and lease audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- **Financial Management:**
- Assist in budget preparation and management by tracking expenses, preparing reports, and identifying areas for cost savings.
- Prepare and maintain records of accounts payable and receivable.
- **Maintenance Coordination:**
- Work closely with the maintenance team to prioritize and complete work orders and ensure the property is well-maintained and in excellent condition.
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality standards are met.
- **Team Collaboration:**
- Train and mentor leasing agents and support staff to enhance team performance and ensure a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing and maintenance, to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive team atmosphere.
- Qualifications:**
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in property management in Multifamily Property Management REQUIRED. Direct experience as an Assistant Manager PREFERRED.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Property Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Strong knowledge of leasing procedures and property management software (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), experience in Yardi or other property management software required. CRM experience a plus!
- Understanding of local and federal housing regulations is a plus.
