Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine pipe layout and installation procedures.
- Measure, cut, thread, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools and power tools with precision.
- Fabricate pipe components on-site or in the shop to meet project specifications.
- Install plumbing fixtures, valves, fittings, and support structures following safety standards and building codes.
- Conduct construction inspections to verify proper installation quality and adherence to schematics.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed for pipe installation or site preparation.
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate schedules, materials, and workflow for efficient project completion.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings with attention to detail.
- Experience with construction management principles and estimating processes.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., wrenches, pipe cutters) and power tools for fabrication and installation tasks.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems, electrical experience related to piping setups, and construction site safety protocols.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely on construction sites.
- Familiarity with construction inspection standards to ensure quality control throughout projects.
- Competence in working with various materials such as concrete forming materials, stucco, masonry components, and roofing systems.
