Responsibilities
- Perform vessel stability calculations and cargo planning for container operations.
- Utilize class-approved vessel stability software to support loading decisions.
- Support terminal and vessel operations with real-time adjustments due to cargo changes.
- Interpret stability manuals, technical procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare operational reports, documentation, and stability-related correspondence.
- Communicate effectively with operations teams and senior leadership.
- Maintain flexibility to adapt to changing vessel and cargo schedules.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine transportation industry.
- Proven experience with container operations, vessel stability, and cargo planning.
- Familiarity with class-approved vessel stability software (CargoMax experience preferred).
- Valid TWIC Card (required).
- USCG Merchant Mariner Credential with Unlimited Tonnage Deck Officer endorsement (3rd Mate or above).
- Training Certificate in Ship Construction & Basic Stability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze operational data and resolve practical operational issues.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
