Master Of Towing – Tractor Tugs Responsibilities
- Command and navigate tractor tug vessels in all towing, ship-assist, and harbor operations.
- Plan and execute towing operations safely and efficiently, considering environmental conditions, vessel size, and operational risks.
- Ensure compliance with all local, national, and international maritime laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Supervise, train, and manage vessel crew members, maintaining high standards of safety and operational readiness.
- Inspect vessel machinery, towing equipment, and safety gear before and during operations to ensure proper functionality.
- Communicate with port authorities, pilots, and vessel operators to coordinate operations.
- Maintain accurate records of voyage logs, towing assignments, incidents, and maintenance activities.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety procedures to mitigate operational hazards.
- Respond to emergency situations, including towing failures, collisions, or environmental hazards.
- Valid Master Mariner license or equivalent certification for towing vessels.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in tug operations, with proven experience commanding tractor tugs.

- Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in challenging weather and operational conditions.
