Responsibilities
- Execute sales and purchase (S&P) transactions for VLCC tonnage with precision and professionalism.
- Conduct tanker brokering activities within the oil & gas industry, actively marketing vessels to charterers and managing cargo interests.
- Develop, nurture, and solidify relationships with shipowners, charterers, and key industry stakeholders to facilitate business development.
- Present the company’s capabilities to prospective clients and negotiate favorable commercial terms for contracts.
- Drive new business initiatives, expanding the client portfolio through diligent market outreach and strategic negotiations.
- Maintain and regularly update the client database and stay informed about market intelligence to support decision-making.
- Monitor market trends, freight rates, and competitive activity to adapt strategies proactively and sustain a competitive edge.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DPP Ship Broker, with strong exposure to VLCC markets highly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in client management, business development, and revenue generation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain a robust client network and deliver high-value deals.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to operate independently, manage multiple deals simultaneously, and adapt to dynamic market conditions.
- Must be a U.S. citizen; no visa sponsorship available.
