Job Description
Core Diagnostic Laboratories is looking to hire an experienced and motivated Specimen Collector to be a part of our growing laboratory team! The main laboratory is located in Birmingham, AL. This collection pediatric position will be onsite at a client's office in Hoover, AL
Employee will be responsible for the collection and preparation of all specimens for submission to the laboratory. Must be comfortable handling biohazardous materials with provided PPE.
MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN LAB OR SIMILAR EXPERIENCE
-PEDIATRIC/ADOLESCENT EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS.
MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION.
Responsibilities:
· Accurately order all tests listed on the patient requisition form
· Collect samples required for the tests ordered
· Prepare samples for shipment to the laboratory
· Follow HIPPA regulations and Universal Precautions
· Communicate issues to management in a timely manner
Skills:
· Attention to detail
· Sample processing experience
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Efficient in computer operations
· Previous lab experience is preferred
Work Location: Hoover, AL
Shift: Saturday and Sunday with the possibility to work throughout the week.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
