Journeyman Electrician – Building Automation Controls

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in commercial or industrial electrical work and a keen interest in Building Automation Controls (BAC). This is a full-time position based in Georgetown, KY with travel to client sites in the surrounding area. The ideal candidate thrives in a technical, hands-on environment and is ready to grow their career in the rapidly evolving field of building automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical components related to building automation systems, including HVAC controls, lighting systems, and security integration.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and technicians to ensure seamless integration of automation systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and problem-solving techniques.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and junior electricians.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and national electrical codes and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, repairs, inspections, and maintenance.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid Journeyman Electrician License.
• Minimum five years of experience in electrical installation, preferably in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• High school diploma or GED required, vocational or technical training in electrical systems is a plus.
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed (travel time is paid)

Work Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Thursday (Four 10-hour days)
• Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on project timelines
• Overtime opportunities available

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly wage: $28 – $37/hr, based on experience and qualifications
