Cordica Medical, Morgan Hill, California is seeking a Purchasing Clerk. The Purchasing Clerk performs companywide purchasing activities in accordance with the established SOP(s).
Duties
- Prepare Purchase Orders and place Purchase Orders according to the established Standard Operating Procedure.
- Learn and maintain knowledge of Duke’s Approved Supplier List, XL-483, and when an Approved Supplier must be used.
- Respond to requestor and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations.
- Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders.
- Perform buying duties when necessary.
- Contact suppliers in order to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries, and other problems.
- Review Purchase Order Requests in order to verify accuracy, terminology, and specifications.
- Maintains physical and electronic files of all purchasing and purchasing related activity.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure raw materials, supply, and equipment planning meet expected demand.
- Additional packing and shipping duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications / Skills Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience performing purchasing duties, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Work and Outlook.
Necessary Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, inter-personal skills, and the ability to work well with others.

- Initiative, taking ownership of one’s duties.
