Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Purchasing/Buyer role located in Fremont, CA. The Procurement Specialist / Buyer will be responsible for overseeing their portion of the purchasing processes, creating & managing purchase orders, and collaborating with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery. The role involves working with planning data independently, placing purchase orders, monitoring supplier deliveries and changes to factory schedules, and evaluating sourcing strategies to meet production requirements efficiently. The candidate will also be expected to communicate effectively with internal teams and external vendors to maintain factory operations and openly resolve potential supply chain issues.
Qualifications
· Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) applications preferred
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
· Working understanding of the ASCM/APICS body of knowledge. Certification is a plus
· Personal initiative and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills and the initiative to make things happen
· Ability to work well with other functional groups and at all levels in the organization
· Willingness to candidly address problems and mistakes that will influence factory performance
