Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner based in Utica, NY. The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner will deliver mental health care to patients in nursing homes, including conducting assessments, diagnosing mental health issues, creating and managing treatment plans, and providing medication management. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care for patients is an integral aspect of this role. Clear documentation and adherence to healthcare best practices and ethical standards are required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Mental Health Nursing and Nursing skills
- Experience in Psychiatric Care and Mental Health Care
- Certification and licensure as a Nurse Practitioner, with a specialty in psychiatry
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site setting within nursing homes
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and the ability to adhere to ethical standards
