Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team in an on-site role located in Yonkers, NY. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, developing and implementing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and providing ongoing mental health care. The position also involves collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure patient care and maintaining thorough medical records while adhering to healthcare regulations and standards. Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning
- Proficiency in prescribing and managing psychotropic medications
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate and empathetic approach
- Proficient knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical documentation
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York and board certification in psychiatry
- Experience working in a long-term care or nursing home setting is a plus
