Unicoi State Park & Lodge is seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Visitors Center Attendant/Kiosk Clerk. Under the direct supervision of the Park Manager, this position provides guest information and support, monitors visitor activity, and collects fees while ensuring a welcoming and safe environment for all park guests.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for greeting guests, answering questions about park and lodge services, assisting with reservations, maintaining guest accounts, and processing payments. The attendant supports both the Visitors Center and outdoor kiosks and plays a key part in delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Essential Duties

Greet arriving guests and provide a warm, professional first impression.

Answer inquiries related to park services, guest registration, activities, dining, shopping, entertainment, and travel directions.

Make, modify, and confirm guest reservations.

Maintain accurate records of guest accounts and transactions.

Present statements and collect payments for camping, fees, park fees, and other services.

Monitor guest activity and support general park operations as needed.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, or 36 months related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.

Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos, and short correspondence.

Ability to write and speak simple sentences.

Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using U.S. currency and standard measurements.

Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or verbal instructions.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to operate retail point-of-sale systems.
Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and occasionally smell.
