Role Description The Teacher at Coral Cove Childcare will design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons that align with play-based and experiential learning principles. Day-to-day responsibilities include guiding children through educational activities, supervising play and exploration, supporting social-emotional development, and maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment. The Teacher will collaborate with colleagues, communicate regularly with families about student progress, and assist with program events and activities. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Draper, UT, within the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with experience working with children ages 2–12.
• Demonstrated skills in Lesson Planning, including creating developmentally appropriate, play-based curricula.
• Effective Communication skills for interacting with children, families, and team members.
• Experience in Training or mentoring, such as supporting assistant teachers or new staff.
• Preferred: Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Ability to maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom and to manage groups of children positively and calmly.
• Willingness to engage in aquarium-based activities and experiential learning opportunities.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
