What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant Teacher position at Discovery Kid Riverton?
Discovery Kids Riverton is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Infant Teacher to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants.
Position Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and responsive care to infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months.
- Create a warm, loving, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Follow daily schedules, routines, and lesson plans.
- Support infants' social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Maintain accurate daily communication with families regarding feeding, diapering, naps, and milestones.
- Ensure classroom cleanliness and compliance with all state licensing regulations.
- Work collaboratively with other teachers and administration.
- Maintain active supervision and prioritize children's health and safety at all times.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience working with infants or young children preferred.
- Must be able to pass all required background checks.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage with children throughout the day.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be willing to obtain a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential within 3–4 months of employment. Support and guidance will be provided to help achieve this requirement.
