CORA is seeking a Student Assistance Program (SAP) Assessor / Behavioral Health Assessor to join their Clinical Division.
The SAP Assessor / Behavioral Health Assessor is responsible for providing behavioral health needs assessment and consultation services to students, families and Student Assistance Teams, in order to facilitate referrals for treatment of substance abuse or associated emotional/behavioral health difficulties as appropriate.
Starting Salary: $54,436/year - unlicensed
$60,995/year - licensed
$61,979/year - licensed 3 years experience
Salary Increases Based On Additional Credentials And Experience.

In addition, as an SAP Assessor / Behavioral Health Assessor your duties will include:
- Provide school-based consultation services to Student Assistance Teams and school personnel regarding the appropriateness of referrals for assessment.
- Provide assessment of the existence of and/or nature and severity of substance abuse and mental health problems of students identified by the school teams. Assessment includes any or all of the following:
- In-person interviews with students and their parents/guardians
- Review of appropriate school and SAP records/reports
- Consultation with parents and appropriate school personnel directly involved with referred students.
- Determine level of care placement, provide referral/treatment resource information for students/families, and facilitate referrals for treatment as necessary.
- Provide same assessment/service linkage services to self-referred youth and their families in Agency or at community sites.
- With proper consents in place, provide to school teams recommendations for intervention/treatment referral follow-up for referred students as appropriate.
- Attend Student Assistance Team meetings as necessary for consultation; provide technical or maintenance information to School Teams in the areas of substance use/intervention/treatment.
- Assist school teams with postvention efforts following loss of student/staff or significant incident impacting school community as needed/available.
- Adhere to Agency and regulatory entity guidelines concerning caseload requirements, service delivery, accountability, supervision and confidentiality.
- Participate in all necessary interdisciplinary functions and meetings.
- Generate/prepare all required statistical reports/funding/regulatory database entries in a timely fashion.
- Adhere to training requirements established by Agency or other regulatory entities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, as needed.
- Master's level degree in one of the helping professions
- Documented experience in treatment or intervention counseling services.
- Working knowledge of the types and effects of substance use
- One year experience in substance abuse treatment setting preferred
- PA license (LPC, LMFT, LCSW) preferred
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (written and verbal) is strongly preferred to foster inclusive communication with students and families
