We have an immediate opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Manager of Benefits & Compensation to join our Talent and Culture team. In this role you will support CORA’s mission by helping design, and administering and continuously improving CORA’s benefits and wellness programs. This position will be on-site during the introductory period and hybrid thereafter (3 days in office including rotating Fridays).
Minimum starting salary is $93,000 (compensation commensurate with experience and credentials)

In addition, as a Manager of Benefits & Compensation, your duties will include:
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of CORA Services; demonstrate CORA’s values in all interactions on behalf of the agency
- In partnership with the VP of Talent and Culture, build and maintain a benefits and compensation strategy that is aligned with CORA’s values, strategic objectives and talent needs, helping to ensure we attract and retain a diverse, talented, mission-driven workforce
- Partner with all members of the Talent and Culture team to build, maintain, and communicate strong HR programs and policies that support our mission and values
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, retirement, disability and life insurance, and other wellness programs and initiatives
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefits vendors, brokers and third-party administrators
- Lead annual open enrollment process including employee education and communications; partner with HRIS provider to ensure accurate enrollment
- Monitor benefits utilization, costs and trends; recommend improvements
- Reconcile bi-weekly payroll data with HRIS, compensation, benefits deductions and general ledger allocations; partner with Finance and Payroll to identify and resolve discrepancies related to benefits
- Ensure compliance with all applicable benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, IRS reporting, etc.)
- Support audits, Form 5500 filings and carrier reconciliations; document audit findings and corrective actions to support internal controls
- Support hiring process by administering salary offers, promotions and other pay adjustments
- Maintain accurate compensation data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- After year one, assume increased responsibility across compensation planning and market benchmarking.
- Assist in coordination of and participate in agency-wide events and Talent and Culture sponsored events
- Perform other duties as needed and as assigned by the VP of Talent and Culture
- Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business or related discipline; will consider non-degreed applicants with an appropriate level of employee benefits and/or compensation administration experience and demonstrated competencies
- 5 years of relevant experience in benefits and/or compensation administration including strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, especially those related to employee benefits and compensation
- Experienced with HRIS administration – experience with UKG is a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Proficiency with MS Office applications (especially Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Professional certification in employee benefits and/or compensation preferred
