What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecom Apprenticeship position at Copper Valley Telecom?
Copper Valley Telecom in cooperation with Alaska Joint Electrical Apprenticeship & Training Trust (AJEATT) is accepting applications for the position of Telecommunications Apprentice in Glennallen and Valdez. Applications will be accepted along with required documentation at Copper Valley Telecom until February 2, 2026 at 5:00pm. All applicants that meet the minimum qualifications will be scheduled for an interview. The selected candidate will be employed with Copper Valley Telecom on a Full-time basis.
Applicants that meet the following minimum requirements are encouraged to apply:
- Be 18 years of age by interview date.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Have a High School Diploma, GED Certificate or higher degree.
- Have completed 2 semesters of Algebra 1 with a grade of “C” or better, one post high school algebra course with a passing grade, the NJATC Online Tech Math Course, or the Work Keys Placement test at any State of Alaska Job Center with a score of 6 or higher

Any individual who is offered an apprenticeship pre-hire must meet all pre-hire employment criteria, which may include a background check and drug screen.
