The OR Aide performs various cleaning and preparatory tasks for our 8 operating rooms to ensure efficiency and smooth transitions throughout the day. The OR Aide is highly adaptable to a fast-paced environment, demonstrates quality care and works well in a team setting.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Prepare operating rooms at the beginning and end of each day
- Perform room turnover in between surgical cases, including cleaning table surfaces, mopping floors, waste disposal and transporting case carts to central processing department (CPD)
- Gather equipment and supplies for surgical cases
- Return or dispose equipment and supplies properly
- Retrieve stretchers for the operating rooms
- Handle and dispose of waste materials, including bodily fluids and blood, properly
- Stock operation rooms, anesthesia carts, linen carts, blanket warmers and scrub sink supplies
- Assist in patient transfer from OR beds to stretchers
- Maintain clean and safe working environment
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines
- Participate in staff meetings and applicable education/training
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- BLS certification required (can be trained upon hire)
- Patient care experience preferred
