Hospice Nurse- On Call

Copper Falls Hospice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated on-call Hospice Nurse to join our team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses in their homes or hospice facilities. Your expertise will help ensure that patients receive the comfort and dignity they deserve during their end-of-life journey. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The on-call nurse would be paid $6 dollars per hour of "pager pay" and their hourly rate for all time engaged. If called out to a visit, the nurse would be paid for their time and travel. This position has the opportunity to grow into PT or FT work if interested.

Duties

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to hospice patients, focusing on pain management and symptom control.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
• Educate patients and families about disease processes, treatment options, and end-of-life care.
• Utilize electronic health record systems for documentation and case management.
• Participate in case management activities to coordinate care across various settings.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures while providing care.

Qualifications

• Valid nursing license in the state of Idaho
• Experience in hospice or palliative care is preferred but not required
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team environment.
• Compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care.

Pay: $32.00 - $43.00 per hour
