Key Accountabilities
SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES
Conducts comprehensive user training on Copan Automation to customer competency, optimal utilization, and self-sufficiency.
During new installations may be required to be at site of installation for up to 10 weeks Monday through Friday.
Demonstrates proficiency in application of COPAN’s instruments and software by uncovering customer’s needs, implementing customized solutions, and facilitating rapid adoption.
Collaborates with Field Service to enhance customer experience.
Ensures that the level of knowledge and trust in Copan Automation is optimal at different customer sites.
Drives implementation process and optimal utilization of COPAN’s automation.
Conducts product demonstrations, while promoting product value to support the sales of COPAN automated platforms at tradeshows, workshops and customer sites as needed.
Assists regional sales associates during the implementation of Copan Automation.
Contributes to laboratory workflow productivity by maximizing the efficiency of the product training.
Routinely checks that the configuration of COPAN’s automation is optimal and that customers are running QC procedures properly.
Work with the sales team to ensure maximum utilization of COPAN LBM products (i.e., ESwab, UTM, FecalSwab, and broths, etc.).
Work with the sales team and customer for ESwab, FecalSwab and other LBM validations and
implementation
The Project Manager will organize, manage, and plan complex projects for Copan’s Automation product implementation efforts.
Experience in project management in a medical device setting or life technology
Indirectly oversees a team of managers and analysts to ensure projects are completed on time
and to specifications.
Delegates work and assignments to team members based on expertise, work experience, and
time constraints.
Works to complete an assigned project on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and
efficiency.
Outlines the tasks involved in the project and delegates accordingly.
Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.
Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.
Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).
Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.
Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.
Communicates and collaborates with sales and marketing teams to provide training and
information required to promote and sell new projects, programs, and systems, if needed.

Minimum B.S. Degree or equivalent work experience required, preferably in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or Microbiology.
Minimum 10 years’ relevant work experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
Prior field experience in technical clinical training
Must be able to sit for long periods on airplane or in an auto to reach job destinations.
Must be able to have manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required on the job.
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
Must be able to occasionally crouch, kneel, and/or duck into tight spaces of the equipment.
The employee will be required to stand for long periods of time. Kneeling and crouching for extended
periods is also necessary
