Laboratory Assistant

PROCESS & KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Process Key accountabilities Management of Environmental Hygiene: Perform routine microbiological evaluation and control of raw materials, bulk, finished products, and production equipment. Microbiological bioburden controls of water, surfaces, and air. General Laboratory and Bacteriology Activities: Bacteriological performance on the finished product after sterilization (where applicable); on incoming raw materials, semi-finished products, or finished products before the final sterilization as microbiological bioburden tests. Molecular Activities Perform routine molecular testing on finished product (where applicable) Cleaning Management :Manage cleaning procedures of the environment and production machines (packaging and filling machines) as defined in dedicated SOP.BASIC COMPETENCES Experience working/operating in a laboratory setting. Must be capable of working in a GMP/SOP-driven environment. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Fluent in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred Ability to multitask, prioritize, and think critically Problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork ability Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPointJOB LEVEL SKILLS Bachelor’s degree in a related field required. Experience with QMS systems (1-2) years. Experience with supporting investigations: NC, OOS, OOA 1-2 years of experience in pharma, medical device, and/or medical laboratory setting Experience with bacteria growing methods. Experience with microbiological dilution methods. Experience with baseline rules for microbiology laboratory workflow. Experience with using specific equipment and instruments used in a microbiology laboratory.Experience with formulation and measurements preferred. Experience with laboratory microscopes and performing gram stains .Experience in PCR, DNA/RNA testing methods PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work onsite in a lab, cleanroom, and/or manufacturing environment as needed. Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. WORK ENVIRONMENT On-site and Hybrid schedules possible based on business needs.
