Job Summary:
The VP of IT Change Management is responsible for overseeing changes within our organization's IT infrastructure and ensuring new systems are implemented smoothly with minimal disruption to operations. This role supports IT leadership through change strategy and is responsible for owning the technology roadmap. In addition, this role is responsible for leading the project management team and other staff involved in technology change management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop the technology roadmap through interfacing with other IT leaders and business units outside of IT.
- Chair the IT Steering Committee, providing guidance to company leadership in aligning IT changes with overall corporate strategy.
- Lead decision making processes related to resourcing projects, including build/buy decisions, insourcing vs outsourcing, and ensuring best-fit between internal resource skills and the projects they are assigned to.
- Establish a robust change management framework, including standardized processes for change request evaluation, approval, and implementation, communication plans, UAT, and other change management activities.
- Analyze the potential impact of IT changes on different departments, users, and processes to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Create and execute effective communication plans to inform stakeholders about upcoming changes, address concerns, and provide necessary training.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including IT leadership, business owners, and end users, to ensure buy-in and support for change initiatives.
- Identify and proactively address potential resistance to change, by developing strategies to overcome barriers and engage employees in the transition process.
- Develop and deliver targeted training programs to equip users with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to new systems and processes.
- Monitor and measure the effectiveness of change management initiatives by tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting progress to leadership.
- Lead and manage a team of IT project management and analyst professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful change implementation.
Education and Experience:

8 years of work experience in change management, project management, business analysis, IT consulting, or a related field.

5 years of supervisory experience leading and managing other IT staff.

2 years of senior IT leadership experience, including ownership of IT change, strategy, or project management functions.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent additional work experience.

Experience creating and managing SOPs and processes used by IT staff for change management.

Experience managing project pipelines and roadmaps.

Relevant certifications, such as CCMP, ACMP, or PMP preferred.

Experience in healthcare, banking, or a similarly highly regulated industry preferred.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies.

Proven experience in change management principles and practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders at all levels.

Leadership abilities to influence and motivate teams during change initiatives.
