Manager of Labor and Delivery RN

Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Manager of Labor and Delivery (RN) for a top healthcare client in Corpus Christi, TX.

This leadership role oversees daily operations of a 19-bed Labor and Delivery unit, including 5 OBED rooms and 3 surgical suites. The Manager ensures safe, high-quality, patient-centered maternity care while supervising 80 FTEs and collaborating closely with the Director of Women's Services to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the daily operations and clinical performance of the Labor and Delivery department.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance evaluation for nursing and support staff.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other clinical leaders to promote positive patient outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies, quality standards, and evidence-based practices.
• Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as on-call leader for postpartum, antepartum, and labor/delivery units on a rotational basis.
• Foster a supportive, team-oriented environment focused on clinical excellence and patient satisfaction
  
  

Requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
  
  

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of recent (within the last year) leadership experience in Labor & Delivery required
  
  

Certifications/Licenses

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Texas or Compact State)
  
  

Skills Or Competencies
