Summary
Our highly competent and well-trained estimating team prepares construction material lists for residential and commercial construction clients nationwide. Utilizing an industry leading software program, our team provides accurate and precise takeoffs for lumber yards, general contractors, and others in a timely manner. Thorough on-the-job training is provided, ensuring confidence and competence with each team member.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Analyze construction drawings, blueprints, and other documents for content.
• Consult with in-house team and client to establish materials needed for materials takeoff.
• Input data to establish quantities of different building materials needed for specific projects.
• Communicate issues of concern with team members and management for resolution.
• Review report and submit for analysis, addressing any areas of concern.
• Prepare completed takeoff for distribution to client.
• Answer follow-up questions as needed.
Job Requirements and Skills
• Strong analytical and mathematical mind.
• Attention to detail.
• Able to set and meet strict deadlines.
• Must be well organized and able to work in an office environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Construction experience helpful but not required.
• Material estimation experience helpful but not required.
• GED required.
