Responsibilities
- Safely operate various types of forklifts including Stand-up, Sit-Down, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Perform order picking using specialized equipment to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Manage warehouse inventory by utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) to track stock levels, update records, and ensure proper storage procedures.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by preparing shipments, verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders, and ensuring proper documentation.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic repairs or coordinate maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition.
- Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing materials for shipment or storage while adhering to OSHA safety standards and heavy lifting protocols.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow, improve safety practices, and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts such as reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, or similar heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control procedures, and order picking techniques.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting when necessary.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations related to materials handling and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly; experience with heavy lifting is essential.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
Pay: $21.60 per hour
