What are the responsibilities and job description for the Collections Specialist position at Cooper Multifamily Services LLC?
Collections Specialist will assist in the collection of rents from residents at apartment communities. The Specialist will be responsible for collaborating with property management to contact and collect due rent from residents. Specialist will contact residents by phone, text and email to minimize delinquency and encourage payment.
What We Expect From You :
- Responsible for contacting residents to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
- Confer with residents in attempt to determine reason for overdue payment.
- Record information about status of collection efforts.
- Ensure amounts are paid to property management.
- Understand and adhere to the guidelines in the resident's lease.
- Adheres to federal and state Fair Housing Laws as well as all company policies.
- Supports team in achieving the goals of the property.
What is Required of You
- Previous experience in rental collections or similar.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license.
- Position will travel between properties located in Newport Beach CA.
- Ex-military or law enforcement preferred.
