Job Overview
The Welder III will play a vital role in supporting manufacturing operations by performing precision welding work using hand welding equipment. This position requires proficiency in welding processes for structural and process pipe applications, ensuring high-quality welds and adherence to safety standards.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Utilize templates, jigs, blueprints, and other guides to repair, modify, or fabricate components.
- Operate hand tools for cutting, drilling, tapping, grinding, and shaping metal.
- Ensure work is performed safely and with care to avoid damage to tools and equipment.
- Manage metals to meet dimensional, tolerance, and strength requirements, preventing distortion or burns.
- Perform welding tasks to meet rigorous standards of radiographic, ultrasound, magnetic particle imaging, and other testing procedures.
- Set up, troubleshoot, and operate welding machines according to job specifications.
- Preheat and weld metal components as per blueprints, welding symbols, or job specifications.
- Operate various industry machines and tools, including air arc gougers, grinders, and stress relieving machines.
- Perform welding repairs and address substandard welds.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma / GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on quality.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. regularly and work in environments with noise and dust.
- Must use safety gear such as glasses, shoes, and earplugs.
- Capable of performing physical tasks associated with welding activities.
- Willingness to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
- Proficiency in basic mathematical calculations.
- Experience operating a forklift, hand truck, and other equipment specific to duties.
- Strong oral and written communication skills

- Ability to work with minimal supervision
