Job Overview
As the Reciprocating Compressor Technology Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Field Service operations, focusing on startup, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting activities for Reciprocating Compression equipment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide operational and technical support to the Field Service team, offering expertise in the operation and maintenance of Reciprocating Compression equipment.
- Support the Connected Worker initiative by training frontline workers, conducting remote inspections, and delivering technical support to both external and internal customers via web meetings utilizing the MS HoloLens device.
- Assist in the Red Flag Review process for equipment startups, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Offer technical support to the proposals team as required, contributing insights and expertise to enhance proposal submissions.
- Undertake other supporting functions as necessary to assist the operational support team in achieving operational excellence.
- Travel approximately 20% of the time throughout the US to provide on-site support and technical assistance as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is preferred. Alternatively, a minimum of a high school diploma or GED combined with 10 years of experience in Operational Support is required.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in reciprocating engine and compressor systems, with specific familiarity with brands such as Ingersoll Rand, Clark, and Worthington being advantageous..
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) to facilitate documentation, reporting, and communication tasks.
- Commitment to safety, customer service, and teamwork.
- Effective communication skills for clear interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset, aligning with company goals as a team player.
- Skilled in cultivating strong interpersonal relationships to foster collaboration and teamwork.
