What You’ll Be Doing

The Nursing Supervisor will play a crucial role in assisting providers in the care of our patients to ensure optimal medical care.

The success candidate will be able to:

• Coordinate department staff to meet patient load
• Schedule all nursing department staff
• Train new and existing nursing staff as needed to meet department procedures, processes and standards
• Identify and implement new departmental workflows as necessary
• Complete orientation program and skills checklist for all new employees
• Keep appointments flowing smoothly to assure all patients are seen timely and the providers’ time is well-managed
• Post daily patient schedule and keeps providers informed of appointments
• Step in to support nursing staff when needed with patient care, laboratory activities and on call as needed
• Lead and maintain a positive work environment
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For

• 1 year of relevant supervisory work experience
• Current and valid TN RN or LPN License
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking abilities
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software
• Problem-solving aptitude and a proactive approach to addressing challenges
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with physicians, patients, employees and the public.
