Cook Systems has an immediate need for an IT Product Owner
The Information Technology Product Owner partners with business stakeholders, customers, and technology teams to define, prioritize, and deliver software solutions that improve business processes, customer relationship management, and operational effectiveness.
Owns and manages the product backlog by establishing the business value, gathering requirements, writing user stories and acceptance criteria, prioritizing work, and guiding Agile delivery from discovery through release.
Works closely with developers, QA resources, and end users to clarify business needs, validate functionality, support Test Driven Development practices, and ensure delivered solutions meet defined outcomes.
Facilitates backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews, user acceptance testing, release readiness, and ongoing communication with stakeholders.
Uses customer feedback, data, and system knowledge to recommend improvements, increase adoption, and support continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Experience as an IT Product Owner, Business Systems Analyst, Product Manager, or similar role supporting business applications or software delivery.
- Strong requirements gathering skills, including user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, process documentation, and stakeholder interviews.
- Experience with managing internal customer relationships, customer-facing workflows, business process improvement, leadership, and all levels of management.
- Experience with mobile web, responsive applications, iOS and Android devices, and cloud-based technologies, including supporting transitions, integrations, and adoption.
- Working knowledge of QA, user acceptance testing, defect triage, testable requirements, and Test-Driven Development concepts.
- Agile skills: backlog management, prioritization, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, release planning, stakeholder demos, and iterative delivery.
- Ability to communicate clearly with business users, developers, QA resources,
- Experience with Jira, ERP systems, reporting tools, BI, Visio
- Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
- Pass drug screen, clean background.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
