SUMMARY
The Landscape Laborer – Landscaping is responsible for maximizing profitability by exceeding work assignments and performance to deliver an exceptional customer experience to garner continued and repeat business.
REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Crew Leader - Landscaping.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides exceptional customer satisfaction, both internally and externally.
- Loads and unloads the truck for jobs at the beginning of each day and stores and manages all equipment and tools at the end of the day.
- Maintains company vehicle, ensuring cleanliness and organization, both inside and out.
- Operates equipment including, but not limited to blower, weed eater, shears, mower, etc.
- Performs minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment.
- Performs assigned landscaping roles for customers, i.e., mulching, clean ups, weed eating, pruning, digging, planting, edging, etc.
- Takes basic direction from supervisors and management.
- Follows all proper planting techniques.
- Seeks cross-training and career development opportunities consistently to increase job effectiveness and productivity by being exposed to and learning landscaping and maintenance production.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- GED or High School Diploma strongly preferred.
- Valid Driver’s License strongly preferred.
- General knowledge of the landscaping industry and experience preferred.
- Must be able to communicate and work well with others and provide exceptional customer service both internally and externally.
- Must have strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines by prioritizing tasks and keeping projects on schedule while working independently.
- Must adhere to the company’s uniform policy.
- Must consistently meet company attendance standards.
- Must be willing to work weekends or overtime as necessary.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be available, willing, and able to work outdoors for extended periods of time in a variety of weather conditions including snow during the winter months and heat during summer months.
- Must be able to stand, squat, sit, walk, kneel, bend over for extended periods of time, and lift up to 40 pounds.
