A confidential and critical position, which under general supervision performs a variety of specialized, complex activities in the coordination of Human Resources services in the area of recruitment & selection. Strong emphasis on proactive problem resolution and departmental communications.
TYPICAL DUTIES
- Plans, coordinates, and participates in HR related programs and activities.
- Coordinates the recording and maintenance of HR and Payroll data, and the generation and distribution of related reports and information (HR metrics, data requests, etc.).
- Conducts preliminary analyses of data, setting forth progress and adverse trends. Provide input into any recommendations or conclusions.
- Reviews all personnel forms for completeness and accuracy.
- Assists in the preparation and distribution of internal communication.
- Maintains liaison with Payroll and others across CCH as necessary to obtain and provide information.
- Participates in the evaluation and testing of applicants, determine work priorities and trains other staff in all operations relative to the recruitment and selections process.
- Works on special projects when and as assigned by management.
- Performs other related duties as assigned and/or to assist the HR Recruiter.
RECRUITING DUITES
- Supports the recruiting team with day-to-day processing of correspondence and any other forms of written communication needed for candidates including verification that all hire documents are properly completed and are in compliance with established guidelines.
- Checks to verify applicant pool within Taleo, notifies the recruiter to repost if there are no applicants, if there are less than four applicants notify the recruiter to validate the position and if there are four or more applicants then the HRA-R must run a veteran’s report and complete an actively recruited packet.
- Enters data and performs maintenance in the CCH HRIS System and Recruiting Database; generate reports from same when needed and to assist in the performance of data analysis.
- Researches, investigates, and follows up on internal and external inquiries related to vacancies posted, vacancies filled, etc
- Works and coordinates with Labor on the tracking of vacancies filled via labor actions such as re-calls
- Prepares copies of requested postings and/or paperwork in connection with inquiries from the union, in response to FOIA requests, OIIG investigations and other inquiries.
- Sets up and maintains files on all candidates to ensure all required pre- and post-employment documents, appropriate acknowledgement forms, transcripts, certifications; licenses, etc. are in the file and given to Human Resources Operations designee.
- Performs employment-related actions including but not limited to verifications of employment, reference checks, online verifications with sites such as state and federal exclusion and sanction websites.
- Onboarding of CCH new hires to include scheduling EHS visits, check the status of employee drug and health clearances, ensures new hire have cleared employment verification, submitting new hire communication regarding offer information, including new hire on orientation log.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of full-time work experience in an administrative, customer service and/or clerical role, is required (Must provide High School Diploma at time of interview)
OR
- Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution with one (1) year of full-time work experience in an administrative, customer service and/or clerical role, is required (Official transcripts must be presented at time of interview)
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office with a high concentration in Excel spreadsheets, is required
- Must be able to type 25 words per minute, is required (Typing test will be administered. 25 wpm with 90% minimum accuracy rate is required)
- This position requires traveling to work assignments for which the employee must provide his or her own adequate means of transportation, is required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous work experience in a major hospital, medical center, university, government agency or corporation with more than 1,000 employees working at the same site, is preferred
- Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of work, is preferred
- PHR certification is preferred

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
This position is functioning within a healthcare environment. The incumbent is responsible for adherence to all hospital and department specific safety requirements. This includes but is not limited to the following policies and procedures: complying with Personal Protective Equipment requirements, hand washing and sanitizing practices, complying with department specific engineering and work practice controls and any other work area safety precautions as specified by hospital wide policy and departmental procedures.
