What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant / Paralegal – Personal Injury position at Conybeare Law Office, P.C.?
Job Summary
Who We’re Looking For
We’re not as concerned with your job title as we are with how you show up.
You’re ready to learn, open to change, and willing to grow as our systems and cases evolve. You take pride in doing things the right way—even when no one is watching.
The day-to-day work is a mix of legal assistant and paralegal responsibilities, so being adaptable and willing to jump in where needed matters.
You’re the kind of person who:
- Is organized, meets deadlines, and is detail-oriented
- Communicates clearly and directly—with clients and with the team
- Brings a positive, solution-focused attitude
- Enjoys a challenge and stays engaged in the work
- Takes initiative and exercises good judgment, while asking questions early when needed
- Understands that putting things off is how cases—and trust—break down
- Prioritizes tasks effectively and keeps things moving
- Doesn’t mind picking up the phone instead of sending a fourth follow-up email
- Takes ownership of your work and follows through
You’ll be working with a small, tight-knit team that values trust, accountability, and respect. That means:
- Professional, respectful, and team-focused
- People who are confident in their work but easy to work with
- Reliability—you show up, stay engaged, and follow through
An associate’s degree or higher and legal assistant experience are helpful, but not required.
Success in this role means files are organized, deadlines are met, clients are informed, and attorneys can rely on you.
If you take pride in being dependable, organized, and someone your team and clients can count on, you’ll fit in well here.
